I do not know why only the pictures came up and all my writing disappeared, ugh. So my 1987 Camaro. My son and I pulled the 2.8 .we marked every wire. We have pulled the ecm and any wires not needed .We dropped in a 350. We tossed the alternator that was on the car, and I figured we could use this 100 amp powerwashed I had on the shelf .But ofcourse, the wires are different. So I ran the black/red strike wire from the dist block behind headlights to the back of alternator as was on the v6 .I assume the red wire to the new 2 wire plug will connect to the red that was fusible and went down to the starter .I believe the new white wire connects to the brown wire for garage? I don't know what to do with the tan/white wire?? Do I need it? If so, can I splice it right into the brown wire attached to white?? I no longer and running the electric fan through the original relay nor am I running electric fuel pump. So what's the deal with that wire?? Thanks

Reason: More info
Looks like post 1 goes to your ignition switch. Switched power
post 2 goes to the batter post of the alternator.
the power wire to the starter on the battery lug post of the alternator.
and disregard the brown wire for the idiot light.
