Radiator Fan not Turning On
Radiator Fan not Turning On
Just finished installing a subwoofer in my 92 Trans Am and now the radiator fan will not turn on and it is causing the car to overheat. Any ideas what could have happened?
I’m assuming the subs are drawing too much power so the fan can’t get enough but don’t know how to fix it.

Have you checked the fan switch to see that it is still connected? The fan switch is located on the passenger head between 6 and 8. When you turn the hvac controls to AC does the fan come on?

Where are you Connecting the Amplifier 12v Positive and Negative Cables?
How did you connect them?
And are you using a Fuse?

@punkmaster98 , the fan does come on when I switch on the AC. But if that is switched off, the radiator fan does not come on.
@vorteciroc , power is running to the battery positive and the negative is grounded. Yes, I’m using the fuse that came with the amplifier. The remote wire is wrapped around the 20amp fuse for the fan in the fuse box. That 20amp fuse is still good. Even switched it to a new one just to be safe. Also took the remote wire off of the fuse and still no fan.

So, I got the car lifted today and looked underneath for any possible disconnects. I’m not sure what I’m looking for but I took a picture. It didn’t look like anything was disconnected.
