C100 Bulkhead Connector Pins?
Anybody have a source to buy replacement pins for this connector? My cabin harness has the wiring to the C100 for the driving lights but the headlight harness side does not have a pin and wiring so I need a pin for the engine side/headlight side of the connector to install the connection to the driving lights.
Thanks..

Part numbers are in post #12, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-...ml#post6451627
The connector has mixed terminal sizes, you first have to figure out if the open slot is for 280, 480, 630 pin size. Post #4, has a graphic showing which slots are which size, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-...ml#post6474251
It is hit and miss what you can buy, some parts are obsolete. Google the part number and retailers will come up in a search. www.mouser.com is a place I use.

I ordered some series 280 pins and they will be here tomorrow. Does anyone know a good way to clean the pins in the C100 connector to get the old tar like sealant off and what new sealant to use to reseal them?

The connector is not water sealed. The potting inside was GM's way of "sealing" it. I don't think the potting material is available any more. I think @vorteciroc explains how to service it in this thread, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/elec...al-poster.html

Re: C100 Bulkhead Connector Pins?
Thanks for the info and link to the other thread. It looks great but I just gave it a quick look see since it is late tonight.
The next thing I need is to confirm a couple of things about the fog light wires. On diagrams for the 89 Camaro there are three pins in the C100 connector labeled Fog Lights but in the diagram for the 92 Camaro there is only one pin for the Fog Lights. I am guessing that the 90 to 92 design was changed that put a relay under the dash inside the cabin and then only routed a single power lead (single pin) through C100 to both Fog Lights. There aren't any pins labeled ground in the C100 so I assume that both Fog Lights are grounded to the body (likely the radiator core support). I haven't found a headlight harness diagram with Fog Light wires shown in it to know how the Fog Light wires are routed in the harness to both lights. Lastly, the diagrams don't show wire size so I am guessing that I should use 12awg wire as the Fog Light fuse is shown as 20 amp (12awg recommended for 12V/20amp circuits).

Re: C100 Bulkhead Connector Pins?
I am slowly getting the headlight harness connector cleaned and have the pin hole open now for the fog light pin. I am guessing that to put in the pin, you have to pull out on the blue slide thingy. Does it have to come all the way out or just move it the width of the pins? How do you get the slide to pull out, just pry it out? Mine is really stuck so I have it soaking in lacquer thinner right now.

Just move it enough to release the particular pin of interest.
There is another device in there called a Cable Stabilizer. I'm not sure if it has to be removed or not. hopefully somebody else can advise about that.

Re: C100 Bulkhead Connector Pins?
So, after soaking in lacquer thinner I was able to get the TPA to slide out a way. I will finish cleaning out the old tar like stuff and then use dielectric grease when I put it back together. I ordered a roll of 12awg purple wire that should be here by Saturday so I can install the fog light pin and wire..... I plan to soak the C100 engine connector and the internal firewall side of the C100 to clean them as well before reinstalling all the harnesses....

Re: C100 Bulkhead Connector Pins?
Random thought. How many wires can the C100 fit? Has anyone ever replaced it completely with a more modern sealed bulkhead connector setup? Would take some firewall work to fill the old hole and fit the new one but for a full on build that would be nothing.

Something like this could be done as a modern sealed arrangement. Could go all out and have both main harness and engine harness travel through if you really wanted to clean things up.
The 102 pin version has 2 - 4 AWG terminals good for 100 amps each and 4 - 8 AWG good for 60 amps each. Then 16 - 12 AWGs and 80 - 16 AWGs. Plenty of heavy wire availability for main 12v/ground pass through.
