Makes no difference, the TPI setups were same for manual and automatic. I dont have pics right now since its still in the car, its out of a Trans Am, I can get some pics by tommorrow.
Yeah, that is what I thought, too. What year did the switch the style then? My TA doesn't have the same TB as the 91 I have one off of, or the 89 IROC I got pics of.
If it matches the style of mine I will buy it.
Thanks,
Douglas

The only thing that changed from 89-91 in TPI was that in 90' they went from MAF to Speed Density. There should be no difference in Throttle bodies. If anything is different I would say that one of your throttle bodies is aftermarket. If you could give me a pic of the the TB that looks different I could tell you what the deal is.

There is a difference from the 85' - 88' and the 89' - 92' Throttle Body. The Throttle Cable Type and the mount for the cable which is part of the shaft cannot be changed. However, if you change the cable to the new style that would probably work for you. Good Luck!!

As I stated above what you are saying is true about there being no difference between 89' - 92'! However, unless I am reading this thread wrong they are requesting a Throttle Body for an 88' Trans Am which is again different from the 89' - 92' type and I did not want them to go through the hassel of getting the wrong one.

Yes, that is right he is looking for an 88' TB. I have 8 complete TPI setups ranging from 85-92. I can get him an 85-88 style throttle body no problem.
I can make sure it is an 88' before I send it to him.
