Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
How much are looking to spend?
Im considering selling my T-56, under 1000 miles since full rebuild, fully upgraded to handle 650+ hp, internals were purchased from D&D. Transmission was built by professional shop here in AZ.
This includes the T-56, pedals, master cylinder, slave cylinder, neutral balance fly wheel, etc... for the right price I will include the Spohn cross member with DS loop and Spohn torque arm.

Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
The tranny has a stock pp and clutch, I found the invoice from D&D but I cant find the paper work from the transmission shop that did the rebuild for me.
Im asking 2500 for everything for the trans. I am still up in the air if I want to sell it or not I might be installing it into my El Camino next week.
If I do install it, I still the the Spohn Cross member with DS loop and torque arm that I will be selling. I am actually moving to Aberdeen MD area next month and can have the moving company take it if you dont need it immediately to save on shipping cost.

Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
I'm good man, same old. The motor is torn down right now, but it should be ready to go by March. I just made plans to do cruise weekend again in OC this year, I'll be staying right across the street from Seacrets. You gonna go?

Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
dude your best bet is to stop looking for all the parts you need ... start looking for a cheap 4th gen car with the parts , that will be eatier as nobody that has a t-56 will give it up. alot of the forth gen owners with t-56 dont know how special it is and will let a raggy car go cheap like the one I got for $1000 with lt1 t-56 combo took all the t-56 stuff sold the lt1 and disc rear and junked the car . got everything i needed and made $300 bucks . search craigslist EVERYDAY one will turn up with primer black ripped up seats and a few dents in it with a sagging headliner and loud exhaust . for 2000 talk him down and you have what you need for almost nothing . good luck .

Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
I've thought about that, but the only problem is I do not have space to put another car if I had the room I would have picked up one already.

Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
the thing about getting a t-56 is .. lets say I have one for $1200 sounds good rite ? well now you need pedals , flywheel, clutch, driveshaft, thats another $1000 the cross member is non negosible, you have to buy that. so you'll be in to it for $2500-$3000 with the rite 4th gen you can be into it for almost nothing . just an Idea ....find the rite car . buy it. then rent an out side storage spot to put your car for a week or two strip every mint part possible from the forth gen , send it to the crusher for $400-500 by the time your done selling what you have pulled ,you will have saved a ton of cash . and If you buy a running car you can test the trans. If somebodys selling a t-56 on this site I would seriously wonder why ... the t-56 is one of the most desirable mods in the third gen clan. the forth gen guys are not actuall camaro nuts like the rest of us . they just think its cool to have one more gear and dont even know what t-56 is. all this is just my oppinion . I hope you veiw this as a conversation rather than an arguement.

Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
I have seen these swaps go from 1000- 1600
I don't have 3k to spend on this swap. If I did I would be buying all new stuff
I much rather buy the parts I need and not a full car, like I said before I do not have the space to put it and adding a storage unit to my monthy bills is not going to help me out any.
So If I just get the parts I need I can store them , till I can install them with out having to worrie about a full other car, I have been trying to sell a ton of 3rd gen stuff with no luck so why would I have luck selling a 4th gen that I pull most of the good parts from?

Re: looking for a full T-56 swap
for 600 you better grab it. T56 are getting more expensive as the parts are skyrocketing in price.
Have an almost brand new T56 and wouldnt let it go for even 1500...used to be you could pick them up for 500-1000 in mint cond

Hey man I was looking through your add and I would suggest checking your local salvage yards. I was calling around and came across on if the smallest yard near me and was able to talk the guy into lettin me have the whole set up (tranny, petals, clutch, flywheel, shifter, hydraulics, etc.) for under $1000 just be hangin out b.s.ing with him and giving him my word that I came back over once it was done and lit the tires up for him.
