All you really need is your temperature sending unit which is probably running from your driver side head, and your oil pressure sending unit which is what i believe you are referring to located about the oil filter. It is found in three rear of the block right behind the intake manifold. I ripped my crap out a long time ago, but if my memory serves me correct there is emmission crap in the inake manifold attached to your thermostat housing. Why don't you do it this way... Figure out what you want to keep. Mark em and take everything else out and plug em.

Yes, that controls your gauge.

also there is somthing above where the oil filter goes
That controls your fuel pump, and if you don't have a bell-shaped sender next to your distributor, then it also controls your oil pressure gauge. There should be three prongs on it, the two farthest apart are for the fuel pump, the other one for the light or gauge.

and on the drivers side head there is sumtin and on the frint of the intake manifold, this one confuses me cause isn;t it another temp sensor??
Yes, that one's for your computer, you won't need it.

Do you also have a fan switch?

Check your driver's side head between exhaust ports 1 and 3. Should be the gauge sender there. On your passenger side in the back between exhaust ports 6 and 8, should be the fan switch.
