If your a gear monkey like some of us then i would say not hard at all. Just count on spending about 60 bucks on odd stuff no didn't think of or broke. Other than that its not that hard. Just a guess but i would think a 350 chip should also be in the list unless i glanced over it. Wish you the best of luck. YOu'll love the power difference!

im just about finished with my swap from a 3.1 to a 350. the worst was finding a clutch to match the v6 trans and the flywheel from a v8. now the headers are burning everything within 3 inches of them. when i first started my plug wires caught on fire. it was pretty exciting burning brand new msd wires.

"Easy" and "hard" definations vary from person to person. Some think a month of evenings and weekends is "easy", as long as you don't have to take out the cutting torch or welder (that defines this swap). Some think cutting/welding is a piece of cake as long as you can finish it in a weekend or two (what it took for the big-block in the '57).

Since you're going TPI, you'll have a lot of harnesses and sensors to change. I did the dash as well, because I didn't feel like tracing down the changes between the two years. Moving the engine mounts on the front crossmember is of itself enough to scare some people away.

Don't assume this is "easy", or "impossible". It's somewhere in between. It's not wise to start it without the entire donor car being available, though, nor to tear things apart without careful labeling and a lot of pictures (do this on both cars, by the way).
