Hey Chevyowner02, Its called OBDI or OBDII, The OBDI came in cars that are 95 and down and OBDII came in cars 96 and up. OBDII Just has more options to mess with and see more things going on in your engine and OBDI is just the opisite. And i heard that the 94 and 95 LT1 are the best for swap cause they dont have OBD II.

odbII has the 02 behind the cat to monitor if the cat is there. it also does not like cams very much and is a little less friendly to mods. your best bet is a 95 lt1

Get the '95 model, vented opti, OBD-1 (but use an OBD-2 connector), the opti is pin driven also instead of spline driven like the '93-'94's are. '96 was the first year for OBD-2

I used the wiring harness that come with the LT1 and spliced in the wires needed for the gauges, two wires for the injectors, and two wires for the PCM.

The painless is nothing more than the stocker with the connectors cut off and wires labeled, you'd be better off with the stock harness.
I'm also working on new wiring harnesses to make this a plug and play swap, and a better fit and finish than splicing the two together.

If it's a TPI car (which according to the car you listed in your profile it is), you can use the stock cable

No, the MPFI cable won't work, this is what I had in my car and had to swap it out, the end that goes on the throttle body is different, at least the 2.8 one is.
