well they worked before and after the swap they no longer work. so somewhere along the swap a plug got disconnected or something. for some odd reason the reverse lights dont work thru the ecm do they?

your electrical circuit shows that it goes from fuse box-backup switch at trans-lights. check for a blown fuse.

On some cars the Reverse light wires ( 1 blue and one green ) run through the cars ECM harness. If you swapped harnesses and the engine/harness was from a automatic car - than that's why you lost the reverse lights.
I converted my 84 Berlinetta from auto to stick and removed the entire ECM system. I found a 5-speed Carb ECM harness in the bone yard that was shreded to use in it's place. The ONLY 2 wires that were not cut cut short and that are still connected to that harness are the reverse light wires.
P.S. On (some) manual camaros the 2 reverse light wires run though the ECM harness at one of the 2 ECM plugs that connect to the DASH harness. I don't remember the PIN numbers - but look for a Blue and a Green wire !
Hope that helps in some way !!

according to the wire diagram for your 92 (not a berlinetta) you can remove your computer without affecting the backup lights. (see my post above for your specific routing) the berlinetta is the only camaro which had the reverse lights going thru the ECM.

Interesting, ill just trace them down because i have to pick through both wiring harnesses anyway. Thats good news though.

question: theres two electrical "ports" on my t5, 1 for vss and the other one im guessign is for the reverse lights. does the connector that goes into the reverse light port have a blue and green wire coming from it?
