can i fit a 350 ram jet in my 82 camaro
i have an 82 camaro with a 305 crossfire. i want to put a 350 ram jet in it. can i fit it in. i want the GMPerformance crate engine part #12499120.
please let me know if you think that will fit. thanks and can i bolt up my trans to it

of course, the only problem you may run into is hood clerance but i think it should fit fine. other than that its the same physical size as your 305

I have one in my 1988, a project that doesn't seem to finish itself, or allow me to do it either. Engine fits just fine, but the headers (Hedman) are very tight on the AC/Heater box, Hedman says I have adequate clearance, but I expect the plastic will either get very hot or melt. Can't find a relatively easy fix, so if someone else has a idea, please let me know. The problem seems to stem from the Vortec vs standard heads. Maybe it's just me since I haven't done anything like this before.

i put one in my 1990 1le.. i crated the original engine and tranny cause mine is one of 24 made that year with the 350 and i want it to be numbers matching if i ever do sell it... but i had to put a cowl hood on because the intake was rubbing slightly on the original. i got the car for 3k and have done a 13k$ restore on it. its not forsale, but offer the right amount... it is a SUPER RARE car.

If you believe your gonna melt some plastic with your headers, i would recommend, if Im not mistaken its ceramic heat wrap specifically for headers, it reduces the heat dramatically, I know its used on Motorcycles when the pipes are to close to your legs, its supposedly cool to the touch 30 seconds after the engine is turned off.

yes you may have a problem with hood clearance. had to get a cowl because of 1/2-1" clearance issue on te intake.
