Need help on 2000 LS1 with t56 swap into a 91 Z
I need a step by step detailed process on everything i'll need parts wise and tools wise and a step by step detailed process on how to correctly do the process. An estimated cost would be nice also. I am also considering putting in a rearend from the same 2000 Z28 camaro in my 91 Z with an aluminum driveshaft. My car is a 91 Z hardtop with a 305 tpi 5spd all stock. any information is helpfull, any websites with the process would be greatly apreciated. thanks.

I know it's not much help, but the 2000 rear/driveshaft should bolt right in. The fourth gens have a little bit wider case, but not enough to make a noticable difference. mike

heres a thought, why dont you do some of the work yourself and actually look around for information. oh wait, its simpler just to ask somebody to tell you everything you need to do. do you really think someone is going to take the time to write the 20 pages of stuff it would take to explain the swap? NO! find your own information

Hey guys, lets keep it clean here ok?
The LS1 swap info is on this board, a search of the motor swap board will give you a couple links. There is also some guy swapping an LS1 into a 88 Monte Carlo, but I dont remember where the site is, if I find it I'll post it.

We're going to do the same swap, into a '85 Z28. We already have the LS1 engine and T-56 transmission. Have lots of body work to do on the car first, but email me so we can keep in touch, and possibly help each other out. We live in Onalaska, WI. varnumwh@aol.com
