2.8 to 350 carb. need help
Hello everyone I have a 87 camaro.it had a 2.8 5 speed in it.we have replaced it with a older model 350.I seem to have a little problem my after my build we drove the car to the muffler shop and few places for a few days.upon taking the car home it died.no idea why my first guess was no gas or lack of fire.after about 20 min its started right up.the reason I'm asking it this car is my daily driver or will be I'm a little concerned.I replaced the key switch in the car when I bought it it was not a vats key setup.witch the car did have before.my mechanic told me that's the problem.I'm pretty sure from what I have read that the car would not start at all.I'm confused.the car has no ecm btw.any feed back would be greatly appreciated.so shoot me some ideas.

What fuel pump are you using? Do you have a pressure gauge? I just did this swap and i had to bypass the intank pump and run it on a switch to keep it on. You didnt disconnect the computer under your passenger side dash did ya?

So trees a mechanical pump bolted to the block and the electric pump in tank? Can u hear the intank pump turn on? Before something bad hppens I would buy a fuel pressure gauge and see what your psi is at. Should be around 6.5-7 psi

if you still have the intank pump you need to use it, the mech pump will suck enough fuel for the car to start, but it will starve for fuel. running a mechanical pump with the intank is an alternative to running a regulator. some of the older carbed cars came from the factory like this.
