4th gen Vette Engine and Trans in a 86-90 T/A
Hey guys, I was wondering if a 1984 corvette engine and trans will fit into a 86-90 T/A it was an original V-8 car, I don't remember the exact year but it has the WS6 option.

a small block chevy is the same size, regardless of the application. you will have to reuse your accessory drive system and exhaust

the trans will not fit without modification.

i actually don't know.you might be able to swap tailshafts if the vette is 700r4 also.i just wanted you to know there could be a problem because of the torque arm mount.

ya, i figured that would be the only problem i would have, i know the 3rd gen f bodies pretty well, just wasn't sure how the vette would match up to it.

Just keep in mind that the crossfire 350 in the 84 vette was a boat anchor. I'd never go through the effort of swapping in that motor.
