I have a performer air gap with a holley 670 and it fits fine under stock hood. Not sure if the RPM air gap is taller, but guys are running them on here.

There's an air gap, and an rpm air gap. I know I run a performer rpm but also a 1" spacer. Even with a RAII hood it won't clear without a 2" dropped base air cleaner. With a stock hood and a performer rpm you would need a drop base and even then its going to be tight.
