Anyone like the smell of good clean exhaust?

i love the smell of a tuned in, good running engine. without cats makes it better. it just reminds of the dragstrip. i hate it when a car smells like rotten eggs, or burning oil, or running rich.

I would strongly advise , step away from the tailpipe.

Had to laugh at that subject line.

I agree, certain exhausts please me olfactorily.
When I was a kid gasoline fumes were often pleasing. Maybe that's why I'm still into this cars and racing stuff. Dame Bramage.

Any car running on alcohol has some nice smelling exhaust. Go to a go kart race once, or midgets.

In my last Jegs catalogue, they have additives for your fuel that makes the exhaust smell like fruit and stuff. $10 per 4oz bottle, one bottle treats 20 gallons of gas.

Yeah, I've been seeing that for a while.. I wonder if it works? It would probably gum-up injectors though.

I second what Freeze said. The smell of Diesel sucks. I hate getting behind a hick in a dually at a stop light.

I thought I was the only one who liked the smell of pump gas when you hit that Stoch. perfect A/F ratio and don't have a cat to break it down on the way out. Don't get teh smell from the new car yet though. Man I thought having 1 cat sucked, now I got 4

Well... until I put a new H-pipe on.

I hate the smell of unburnt gas out the exhaust. Now jet engine exhaust smells nice, and some turbo diesels as well (their's smell kinda like jet exhaust).

I like first run after installing new exhaust - you open the hood and there's smell of hot steel just having its first burnout. (of course this smell isn't so fine when your ign. wires are fried at headers )
