quality of hedman headers?
Mine were $96 for the headers and $109 for the Y-pipe, no they don't have any emissions hookups (O2, air injection), I added an O2 bung for $2.17.
They are pretty high quality (better than the Edelbrocks), they've got 1-5/8" primaries with really smooth bends and 3" collectors with 3 bolt flanges that rotate (not welded solidly). The Y-pipe goes down to two 2.5" tubes and a 2.5" merge, the merge looks a LOT like the Flowmaster Y adapter, it's very smooth.
One thing about most headers, unless you like exhaust leaks you'll need to tack weld the tubes to the flange on the outside, file the flange (head side) smooth and then cut the flange in between the tubes so that they can move independently of eachother, then make sure the head is perfectly clean and smooth and use orange (high temp) silocone.
It's an old NASCAR trick.
I've gone through 4 sets of header gaskets since August, and I was ready to buy more until my buddy told me that trick, now I don't have any more leaks. He did it on his S10/LT1 swap and it worked fine for over 2 years (he sold it).

hedmens are nice, unless you drive in a salty wintery area, stainless steel is not neccessary. I have the smog leagal shorty headers for camaro 5.7TPI on my 305 HO,they cost me $200 y-pipe included, along with AC bracket spacers, hardware and o2 relocater wire and gaskets, even installation instructions. they are cool if you are on a budjet, but stainless steel is a good investment.
If you have access to a paint gun you can ceramic coat them yourself, same thing Jethot does. http://www.techlinecoatings.com/ sells the stuff for 35. Just make sure you have the o2 tit welded in first.

I have hedmans on my camaro and i have been pretty happy with them except that they have the usual header leaks when not completly tightend. If they arnt ceramic coated then they tend to have a light rust on them but it is no big deal. Mine have no O2 sensors or any smog crap but they work great. They were a butt to instal though but if you cant handle it you are on the wrong web site!!!
