would this work

my friend with an 89 bird with a v-6 had a custom exhaust made and i was wonderin what you guys thought about putting it on the L-69.

its a 3 inch i pipe following factory routing, then when it gets to where it goes to the muffler normally it Y's and goes to 2 chambered mufflers pointing straight back

the mufflers are off of a Z06 i believe

it sounds prety good on the six but it pops when he lets off the gas, is this caused by there not being enough back pressure?

LOL, actually he may be right, granted you NEVER want backpressure, but a loss of backpressure can and will cause a popping noise sometime.
