lift the motor to install headers

lift the motor to install headers

I'm new to the camaro seen, do you have to lift the motor to install headers. I have the 350tpi

For most shorties (I know hedmans) you can put them on w/out lifting the motor. Full-length headers require a bit more finessing.

But can you get the stock headers out o.k

Lifting the motor shouldn't be required to fit any header into the engine compartment.

i just put my headers on on the pass side take off the starter and go under it is alot easier on the driver side take off the steering column and that fits right in

I slid the stock manifold on the pass side out the bottom.
Didn't need to lift the motor

With long tubes you must lift the motor. It's not that bad. Even when it's lifted it's hard to shoehorn those things in. The hookers I have came with good instructions.

I have edelbrock TES. did't lift the engine or take out the starter.left side, take off the valve cover made it easier.right side used a 2"x4" to gently pry some of the A/C pipes for some room.the right side is hell to do and took 2 hours to put in.
