Hi all,

When I get my headers installed next week, I also will need to install a new muffler. I want a QUIET muffler, not a wake up the neighbours (and the dead) type.

Who makes this mystical beast?

i had a 2.5" Dynomax Super Turbo exhaust and it was VERY quiet, even with a hi flow cat. it was only slightly louder than stock.

But isn't the Walker series just fibreglass packed? That will burn out in no time, won't it?

 

Does this Super Turbo come in the 3 inch size, too? How much was it?

 

they don't have a 3" "cat-back" for us anymore but they have all the parts. I have the "I" pipe numbers in my sig and you can call them for a 3" in, dual 2.5" stock location out muffler and 2.5" tailpipes. If you just ask for a catback it will be 2.5" with 3" flange connection to the cat. That 3" flange connection was what confused everyone and made finind my "I" pipe a biatch

if you want mild to quiet, i would suggest getting the Vortex cherrybomb. it's extremely quiet on my bird and has a really mild rumble tone for sound---

Why does everyone say that Dynomax is quiet? Is that the concensus? The only thing not stock to my exhaust on my 305 TBI is a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler and it's not all that quiet. I can hear it pretty well inside the car. Did I just get a louder than normal muffler?
