Is it an LT1 or an LS1? My brother has borla on his LS1, and it is really loud with the plate open. At a cruise it makes a resonating sound, this is with a custom plate though. It has a smaller hole than the ones the exaust come with, they were too loud for my area.

Damn, nice pick The best exhaust I have heard is GMMG chambered, www.gmmginc.net. Behind that I think borla sounds good, both very mean sounding.

The SLP Loud Mouth is by far the loudest I've herd, and I've herd quite a few of them, both on LT1's and LS1's.

I was thinking about a flowmaster when I needed to get my exhaust fixed. Instead I ended up getting a custom stainless steel mufler with custom bent stainless steel pipes from a place in Kinsman OH. This system opened up a LOT of uhm to my '84 Z28 and sounds MEAN. You sit my '84 305 H.O. next to my friend's '97 Cobra Mustang and I sound more intimidating at idle and acceleration (he hates that)....

This shop offers to actually send out there products, or you can go to their location for install (I drove 1 and a half to have them do that whole thing).
Their site is www.stainlessexhaust.com.

If you want a good sound clip of a loudmouth go to www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/slploudmouth.htm He shows instalation and has good before and after sound clips!!!!! I think it sounds so good I might pull off my flowmaster system on my 97Z and go loud mouth!!!
