Sidepipes

Has anyone here ever put sidepipes on a 3rd gen. I have seen it on a fair amount of 2nd gens, and evena 4th gen. But no 3rd's. I personally think it would be bad *** and am considering doing it to my car. Does anyone have pictures, or procedures?

Well, if you have ground effects you are liable to melt them and even if you dont, you will probably have ground clearance issues. Do you actually want the pipes to run along the side of the car or just the tips to come out the side? Look under the car and try to figure out how to route it. You will find out why you dont see it often.

hah.

I suppose I could take out the floorpans and go Flintstone's style for those sidepipes.

What about dumps? Has anyone ever put those on a TA. I think it would look cool to have the exhaust come right out of the little inlet grilles on the quarter panels.

Do a search on this. I have seen pictures of side pipes here. From where I come from, they are illegal so I couldt do them even if I wanted to. But they can be done... If you really want to go that way...

Do you have any pics? What is so unique about yours. I along with quite a few others on the boards have duals and they seem to come in all shapes and sizes?

LOL Banjos. Man talk about ******* style. And you are right that hood does look pretty bad too. Why would anybody ever do that to an otherwise good looking car?

I honestly dont think the side pipes look that bad... Its just the rest of the car. Like the cowl installed backwards lol... Winter rims yeeha... Then the last one is just fugly. Think of the money they spent on that body kit and they put the smallest tires/rims, didnt even lower the car. Its an ugly kit but if he dropped it, got some big spacers, big tires, big rims, ditched the louvers, then I might not puke... as much...

And wtf is that white stripe paint job hes pushin? On second look I think he actually RAISED the car to make the sidepipes fit and they are still pretty close to the ground.

holy crap batman

The thing is, someone actually thinks thats looks good and did it on purpose. It not like the guy walked out of his trailer one day and said, HONEY? Someone ruined my authentic third gen!!

I think I have seen it all now........and they said it couldn't get any worse after disco.......

Is that a "KITT" led light that I see on the front. Cool.

Personally I think that sidepipes on any car looks butt ugly and that people who do it should be shot in the face. Well, except may like 32 ford roadsters and car like that because that looks pretty bad ***. And lake pipes on old custom caddies look pretty cool too.
