I want a Hooker!!!

I want a Hooker catback exhuast that is... I heard a sound clip and thought it sounded awesome. I have blowmasters on my car right now and though they don't sound too terrible, I want to get rid of the droning at speed. I'm also looking for a better flowing muffler. problem is, I have a dual cat car. I can't find a Hooker catback kit that is made for dual cats, all the Hooker cat-backs I see are made for single cat applications. Can I somehow adapt the single cat kit to my car or is there a cat-back system I've missed.?

How will this system sound with headers? How about with a head and cam swap?

Also, I want to fit the Z28 square tailpipe tips on the new system. Will these fit on the Hooker tailpipes? Thanks.

don't we all! ..I am not sure if hooker makes a dual cat system,I have not seen one?..hmmm?.Personally,I think it would be more of a pain to try and modify the system if they don't have it..may want to check out the Banks!..Sound is amazing (as you will see from other posts from board members on here) and for the price and all stainless,it can't be beat..good luck

I would call Jegs or Summit and ask if they have it for your car, just b/c it's not listed doesn't mean they won't have it. As far as the tips, the tailpipes on the Hooker are 2.5'' so if the tips are around that size it'll work.

I couldn't find it for my car either. So, I went and just bought the muffler. I'm gonna build my own system with the muffler. I'm just waitin for some more parts to come in before I install it.

OK, those tips will work as long as a muffler shop makes a coupling for you. Hooker does not make a dual cat system for our cars, trust me I have searched, but if you have a flowmaster cat back as I do, just use the flowmaster y-pipe and have the muffler shop do the rest!!

PHSYCO What part # was your muffler, if you dont mind me asking, and is it 3'' in dual 2.5'' out????

Cool, thanks guys. I heard a sound clip of the Banks system too... That also sounds pretty damn good. Do they make a single inlet dual outlet on both sides? If they do, then I'll definitely get that.

I was kinda hoping to do the install myself, but obviously, if I need to weld stuff, then I'll go out and have a muffler shop do it. How much would it cost to have a full catback system installed? Thanks.

I'm in Canada, so I can't really help you with the cost issue.

I have a single in,dual out on both sides banks kit...It has oval style tips on it (one on each side). The muffler and tailpipes/tips were actually for the 4th gen cars, but it worked fine on mine too with just a slight hanger adjustment to move the pipes down just a bit to clear the bumper..took an extra 10 minutes!..Definately a killer system for the $$...
