Anyone running dual Dynomax bullets???

for my exhaust setup i am going to run dual and was thinking about the 3" dynomax bullet race mufflers. Does anyone know if these are good or not? Also if someone has some pics of there system or even better, some sound clips, that would be awesome. I heard the regular dynomax mufflers and they sound nice but just curious about the bullet styles. Anyways just let me know what you guys think....

yup running 2 bullets with an x-pipe system. I love the sound and of course it makes the engine breath better. Sorry I have no pics or sound clips.

Try doing a search for RevLimits car. He's running 2 bullets but in an interesting setup. I'll look for the thread later.

hey 1fastz, where do you have your exhaust ending at? I was going to do the same thing with the x-pipe and have them dumped right before the axle. any trouble on ground clearence?

I ended mine at the rear also. If you do it right you can get 4 inches of clearence. Just make sure you put turn downs on them.

A couple of 2-word descriptions of Dynomax Bullets:

"Race only".

"Cop bait".

Gotta love the performance, though.

I had them on the '57 with ~18" of pipe b/t the header collectors and Bullets, then 2-1/2" tails out to the rear bumper. No sound files, but two descriptions:

- "Friends" at the track looked under the car in the pits after I made a run to see if I really had mufflers for that mufflers-required class.

- They aren't on there anymore because I was afraid Deputy Dog might be a block away where I couldn't see him, but he could hear me when I pulled away from a stop light under moderate throttle.

when i go true duals i was gona put one after each cat and the another one back where the stock muffler goes. like willie's rear. so it would be 4 total plus 2 cats. would that still be really loud??

i have true duals but i have the flowmaster 1chamber mufflers

i am actually considering going to a y-pipe and a mufflex 4"

it is low but that is liveable but it is really loud going down the highway

at 2000rpms it us useless to talk or to run the radio

i was thinking about staying with the 1 chambers since thats what i had on my existing system. I had shorty headers with a y-pipe and a 1 chamber right where the y-pipe ended (which was like right underneath the passenger seat). It was lound and sounded great but want to try something different. Especially going from a 305 to a 383 i want that choppy idle and deep rumble going through town. Im moving back to my "home town" and i know the cops there so noise control i wouldnt have a problem.

had them on the camaro when i sold it. correct and correct. they were too loud, getting on it would result in open header sound levels. got a ticket from a cop for loud exhaust when i was hitting the brake while driving by HER, in OD....

wow i never thought they would be that loud, but then again it is like a straight through design for their muffler. At least they are only like $34 each so if i want a different sound i can always sell them and go another route

mine aren't that loud. I can still hear my radio and the cops never bother me. I have run these on a built 355 for almost 6 months now and I have never been pulled over for loud exhaust.
