Have You Seen This Yet.

I was flipping thru my new eastwood catalog today when i got it and on page 40 in the shop tools there is a thing called a car tilter . i bet it would make it alot easier to do exhaust if you dont mind flipping your car on its side and.....lol...supposedly it is safe but i dont know.

It bolts to your front and rear like tires would. And im not too sure i would trust wheel studs to hold up my car on its side its one thing on its wheels but i dont know .

here is an url to it also :

What do you think?????

It sure is creative. Some people may end up with a big mess under their hood while using that thing.

another thing that bothers me lets say you have a balljoint going bad and you didnt realize it and tried to do something to this nature ???

im thinking it may be a very bad situation.

of course it would be easier to find all that loose change in your car now wouldnt it ...LOL

I think I also see jack stands as the main support for the device. What keeps the car from flipping over?

I dont think Id use one either. But the jack stands holding it up like that is no worse then puting your car up on jack stands.

What I wold be worried about it that think sliding around.

ahh a diff picture. a google search works wonders..

Yup, totally different animal. Thats a rotissary (sp?)

Its used to hang a bare body in the air so it can be rotated any way needed. Its not for a whole car. Its used mainly for restorations where body/frame rot is a problem, because it makes it so much easier to repair.

I never tire of that picture. What an idiot. Do it right... buy a jack and stands. Or a lift. Whichever.
