going from true duels to single 3"
i didnt want to but i have no choice, i have all sphon suspention and lowering springs and now the set up wont work. So now i have the tes seramic coted hedders with y pipe now i need to choose a muffler and tips. i think i want a 3" in and 2/2.5" out with 4 th gen tips (rectangle ones)
heres the set up i had...love the sound of it you may have seen it b4 ...i guess its for sale.
PLEASE help me pic a good muffler thats quit low deep ...im putting a cut out between the y pipe and the rest of the exhausts for racing so i want something that will sound good..

Well, from what I hear, the Hooker Aerochamber muffler flows very well and is quiet in the lower RPMs but nice and loud at about 4K RPM and above. Does it matter to you if it's a crossflow muffler or not, that may decide a lot?

Cross flow is the standard type of muffler that the 3rd gens came with. Basically you have an inlet at the top and 2 outlets on the bottom, one on each side of the muffler.

Flowmaster
Hooker Aerochamber
DynoMax
Spintech
plus a few off brands.
Have fun.

Then I'd definetely say go with the Hooker Aerochamber. I can't seem to find a better flowing yet quiet cross-flow muffler than that one.

No, but I did a lot of research on the subject not too long ago. All I have is a Flowmaster cat-back with no cat.
