Ok i was just courious on this so dont laugh at me belive it or not i actually know alot obout my car... I have a 91 camaro Z28 that im buildn up a little 350 decent comp cam edelbrock shorties couple other things goin on it to. But before i started taken the car apart i didnt like how it sounded i mean it didnt sound bad but i would have just liked it to be a deeper and a little louder im into the deep throaty sound so the deeper the better. I have a pretty good muffler on right now its the Hooker Aro Chamber and im just courious on what single in dual out muffler will give me the deep a ss sound im lookn for or am i better off chopn the pipe running down the car and putting in a single in single out and if thats the case what muffler should i use.

I have a Hooker aerochamber, single in dual out muffler with SLP shorties and a ZZ4 cam. That's pretty darn mean sounding. Not sure how much more ya want. A Flowmaster will give you a little lower sound, but IMHO it drones a bit, and can be a little tooo loud with headers and a cam.

...I had a SLP Loudmouth. THAT was just plain ridiculous.

The Aerochamber isn't loud enough? I had one in my old RS and it sounded pretty sweet to me, I'd take it over my flowmaster 80 series on my Formula any day. The aerchamber is a really nice muffler.

Agreed... if you had an otherwise stock engine and exhaust system, the muffler wouldn't have changed the sound too much, but with the mods you listed, its gonna sound a fair bit hairier with that same muffler, especially if you're gonna cam it up.

comp cams extreme energy cam, prolly around a 262 or 268 w/ matching springs, if you want your computer to stay happy.

But i agree, headers and a cam will really wake your engine up in both the sound and performance department.

I haven't heard an Aerochamber muffler before so I can't chime in on how they sound.
