3 inch Universal catco cat, Time until clogged?
Hey my smog pump has had no belt for a few months now, and I just took out the smog pump. Around how many miles would it take for the cat to become clogged?

well it would take your car running pig rich for a few months to clog it. i had one on my car and i took about 4 months (dead of winter) to clog mine. i was running pig rich and couldnt get the carb to run right and when i came time for inspection i failed, new cat solved that problem. so it will take some time if your car was running bad, but if its running fine ull have no worry at all.

4 years now and still good with no smog pump to the cat. Also passed my dyno emissions with the 383 with no smog or EGR Just Cat

Ahh, Timz, I see you do as I do when it comes inspection time.
Mkos, that's pretty impressive to pass dyno smog without those things; I figured that it would not pass without them. Good to hear that some people are passing without all that crap. Do they not do a visual for the smog pump in OH?

No visual in Ohio. just a mirror under to check for cat and 2 probes in the tail pipe. They keep it at 25-30 MPH for 2 minutes then decide

One time at my inspection, they got underneath and banged on the cat with a hammer or something to see if my cat was gutted. Obviously, this method doesn't work.
