advantages of a single exhaust over a dual exhaust

other than ground clearance, cause i have longtubes and the y-pipe would still hang a bit low, what would the advantages of going to a single large 3" or 3.5" pipe over a dual 2.5" exhaust be, anything?

my system doesn't seem to weigh that much, and you know how much more reduction i need to do

basically, i need someone to convince me to go back to a single system. i'm think velocity/scavaging type stuff. any effects? i have an h-pipe in my system so...

I did say keep the duals... but hey- if you want to go back to a single throat go with that mufflex 4inch sewer pipe and a spintech..at least you will still be able to wake the dead

even though i did an extremely good job at tucking the pipes and everything, this right here is the reason i am considering the single pipe. i think that with a catback, the car doesn't look quite so backwoods. being that the car has no gfx and has huge back tires, this is an image i am trying to avoid.

I think you did a good job on the exhaust ( fitment wise) it`s not the sweetest system around but it get`s the job done. I think you going to see all of the single system too though..I always spot the cat and pipe riding the outside of the frame on 4 & 6 bangers. without GFX your going to see it I think..and I know how you feel about those It would look nice lower and if the exhaust is the problem, well, you know what to do.

i have longtube headers though, so a y-pipe is going to run right....
