I tried anything, its too close to the pipe for any kind of socket, and 7/16 open end slides right over it. 10mm is to small. It looks stripped. What are your suggestions.

I would make sur eyou have the correct size wrench and try it again. You can sometimes get a better grip on header bolts if you attack them from underneith the car. If that is the only bolt you have left in there you can also swivel the header on that bolt up and down which will eventually break that bolt loose. This is sorta barbaric but it works like a charm.

So, you think if I force it up and down and in and out it will get the bolt loose? What if I brake it?? Crap.
I tried from under the car, but the bolt just seems to close to the stupid pipe. I called my exhaust shop and they can get it out for 60 bucks. I really dont have that much money, but if they can do it and get me another bolt so that I can get the headers out when the gasket blows than its worth the investment. I'll try the barbaric way. It sounds cheaper.

Did you heat it up and use vice grips?

I'd suggest rocking the header back and forth, with someone up top with strong hands and a pair of pliers.
