dual exhaust into a Mufflex?

Well, Im going to run either a 2.5'' or 3'' into a flowmaster Y, and into a 4 inch mufflex right before were it goes over the axle. I have a 383, that has 525 HP at the flywheel. I have shorties now, but am going to put Hooker super comps on there. I have a hacked up Y-pipe, into a a un-known 2 1/2 cat back. So needless to say, anything would be a huge improvment. Also, I know there is a huge debat on backpressure, but should I do 2 1/2'' or 3''?

Any other ideas?

Re: dual exhaust into a Mufflex?

so your gonna run dual exhaust from the headers to just before the axle and have it Y in to a mufflex? muffler before the axle or just the Y is before the the axle?

why not just get the mufflex Y pipe and their 4" exhaust system

Seriously! If what you wrote is exacty what you mean, your wasting a lot of money on a system that is not going to do you any good. Your best bet would be to get the mufflex systen, along with the mufflex y-pipe and put everything in the stock location like it's supposed to be.

Re: dual exhaust into a Mufflex?

your first post states that you are going to get hooker super comps. so what's the problem?

They look more like opinions than criticizing.
