All the sites I've looked at, I can't find someone selling the hooker 2055 headers with the AIR and ceramic coated? I'd rather not have to buy then and send them out somewhere to coat them..
Also, It seems like everyone gets headers with no AIR, dont you guys have vehicle inspections? Do you fail with no A.I.R? I know they looked under my hood last time I got inspected.

HOK-2055-1HKR (don't believe the picture, they often get that wrong). $806.39. Ships 8/6/07. I'm not clear whether or not the y-pipe is coated, or if they coat them inside & out.
Or, order them directly from Jet Hot. They'll buy them from Holley, coat them inside & out, then ship them to you. You'll have to check with them for price.

The pipes are coated inside and out. The Y-pipe is also coated. I just put these on but one thing I wasnt happy about is the flanges were not secured with anything alowing them to scratch the Y-pipe.
oh, yeah i saw those on there but i went right past them because there is no AIR in the picture... but i dont see it say anywhere on the product page that there's AIR on them

They are fully emissions-legal, so they have the A.I.R. tubes and fittings, and O2 fitting.
The picture on Summit's site for HOK-2055HKR shows the proper picture. The only difference between them and the HOK-2055-1HKR is the ceramic coating.

Its my understanding the Hooker 2055 part number means AIR fittings and smog legal for all 50 states. They have a different part number for the headers without AIR fittings.
Not everyone has emissions inspections in their state or county. However, its still a federal offense to remove, tamper, disable, or otherwise bypass any of your emissions equipment, including the AIR and catalytic converter.

thats why i was wondering how i always see so many people on the forums remove emissions equipment when most states i thought had inspection..Originally Posted by Kevin91Z

Inspection is regional, and doesn't always include an underhood visual.
I did a TGO poll a couple of years ago asking questions about that. About 50% have some sort of test or inspection. All are in urban areas. Some only sniff, a very few just look for the presence of a cat.
California and Colorado I know do a visual for all equipment, including A.I.R. It isn't as common as you might think.

The guy always look under my hood, i guess it has to do with the flames. Then again, I'm not really sure what they're looking for or if they even know what they're looking for.. Not taking chances
