Exhaust Experiment

So I wanted my camaro to be a beast. I had an OEM muffler on there and had a flowmaster laying around. after I took the OEM off and before I put the flowmaster on I started the car. HERE is where you can find the video. Tell me what you think. Is this illegal by the way? Will the flowmaster make it sound all muffled again?

Re: Exhaust Experiment

if you already have a muffler just put it on, a lot of people don't like the droan of flowmasters but I don't think they sound all that bad personally..

Re: Exhaust Experiment

I personally love the sound of my flowmaster. if you ever get headers and take out your cat then the interior resonance does get a little loud sometimes, but I still love the sound.

I see your OEM muffler laying behind the car, in the video. Years ago, I cut mine at the same point, then just ran it straight back fro there, so I only had 1 tip on the right side.

Passed inspections....Cops never hassled me.

Mufflers aren't required items, per say. It's the sound level, that is what determines legality.

I say, either run it straight back, or split it for dual tips. Run no muffler. It sounds good like that.

Re: Exhaust Experiment

I'm thinking about an electric cutout after the cat. Speaking of which what is the diameter of our stock pipes?

Re: Exhaust Experiment

Did you install after the cat? It is what it looks like, you should have installed it before. I want electric cutouts but this is how mine is done...
