Re: Banks sound clip

2OTL is a nice touch. Not my preference, but it looks pretty good, sounds good at idle...need more revving to get the true feeling though!

Re: Banks sound clip

I was unaware that banks made an exhaust for these cars...

Unless that is a generic muffler, with a custom bens system. Either way, sounds good.

NEW SOUND CLIP
www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8PQ80mR1_E

Its the real thing... It was an expensive system when it came out in the 80's all stainless steel... I'll get a bigger sound clip up today with more reving. This was and is the best system you can get... IMO

Banks stinger system pn# 49111
I ordered direct from them 5-6 years ago, most of the ppl who work for banks didnt know they made this system because they are big into trucks now.

its the same as any after market 3rd gen setup... 3" inter pipe into single muffler.. 2 tail pipes on one side out of muffler , instead of 1 pipe coming out on each side of single muffler..same thing just the way Banks and SLP do it

Re: Banks sound clip

that is gale banks correct??? I know from owning a gale banks power pack (ram air, intake, SS headers, full 4" SS exhaust, trans command) on our 460 in the motorhome was the difference between night and day.....big ole 36' motorhome would get up and fly LOL

I know a guy real well at gale banks, im going to call and see if they make direct fit headers for the 3rd gen, if so you will be seeing my curret headers on here for sale

Gale Banks 800-601-8072

yall know gale banks set a speed record with a 3rd gen bird, on the salt flats, it was Project Bonneville
