i dont think i want to put lock tite on it cuz i dont want it to get stuck in the head...you guys got any ideas!?

Re: header bolt keeps coming loose
locking header bolts? there a couple of different designs... one with a metal wire that holds it, one with a clip that goes over the head of the bolt, i wish we could still get the breslin locking header bolts, those are the best design with a set screw to lock them in place. i picked up some of the wire type locking header bolts from autozone for $8 bucks, spectre makes them. i never got around to putting the wires in tho, cause they have yet to come loose.

Re: header bolt keeps coming loose
You have a couple of choices
1) Stage 8 locking header bolts
2) Loc-tite (as you stated)
From the people I've spoken to about using loc-tite, the general concensus is that it's not a great idea because the product is not meant to withstand such high temperatures. But the couple of people who actually tried it told me they haven't had any problems. If the loc-tite does not work, then at least you tried.

Thanks for all the ideas guys, I'll definitely look into some of them!

Re: header bolt keeps coming loose
I have the Breslins's and no problems... little less to mess with than tabs and wire, just tools to remove if needed...

Re: header bolt keeps coming loose
I'm using the ARP 12pt with safety wire. Not as cool as the breslin, but effective.
