You should be ok without cats as long as you don't have visual inspections. Sounds nice but ground clearnace looks horrible. Also you may wanna change you Gear ratio stats to 3.23 if it's a 10bolt or 3.27 for 9 bolt. I am asuming you were going for one of them two. 3.24 gears were never an option in any third gen rear unless you don't have a 10 bolt or 9 bolt. In that case i may be wrong.

sounds good. almost as loud as mine! what DIA pipe is it? i got headman LTs 3"mandrel piping, 3" xpipe, and 3" force mufflers with turndowns. love it. went from it on a 350tpi to a soon to be 383 HSR and juice. better than any single setup in my opinon. good work

Don't really understand this comment. If somebody was at the point they were needing a visual inspection for smog..most likely you would be getting a smog check and without cats would not pass.....there is no need for a visual inspection if a smog test in not being performed right? Unless your state only requires a visual for a smog test....in which case it wouldn't even matter then because gutted cats could be used....if all that was needed was a visual.Originally Posted by 1987ZTPI

Sounds very good!!
Sorry it's taken me forever to get back to you guys....
TA- the car doesn't have any cats, the engine was built was last winter by S.D. Concepts also the car was tuned for proper air/fuel mix-car runs mint!
Rok_Star_Bar- The mufflers are the Hooker Aerochambers
Customblackbird- The exhaust piping is 2 1/2
Box_Chevy- The info is stated above.
Emissions wise-well lets say its "taken care of"
the entire job cost about $1,700 with parts and fabircation. Bear in mind everything was made by hand and welder, the rear seat pans were cut/modified to fit the mufflers so they wouldn't hang low under car. there were heat shields also made for the mufflers, fuel lines.
