I would say no, since it's designed for a 4th gen....

Re: I am pretty sure this can work
thats the same exhaust a friend of mine had on his 3rd gen and it sounded sick as hell. Always liked it. i have a magnaflow 4th gen exhaust on my car now and there is really no difference between 3rd and 4th gen exhausts. Maybe something minor like hangers but thats it

Re: I am pretty sure this can work
I like both but for me at the time it came down to what did I want to spend. i kept the magnflow and insted of getting the borla catback I wanted. Then a friend of mine got the borla a few months later and thank god I didnt get it as it sounded like ***. It had the famous borla bark hardcore when gearing down and I cant stand that. I stuck with the magnaflow and actually have liked the sound since day one. Cops leave me alone as it isnt too over aggressive like other systems, so for me it works.

Re: I am pretty sure this can work
i modified a 4th gen flowmaster cat back for my 85 TA and it did work..the mid pipe does have to be modified where it bends before it goes into the cat and you may have to buy a hanger for the muffler but it can be done.

Re: I am pretty sure this can work
thats why I went with it and i used 4th gen exhaust square/ rectangle tips. I like them and my drivway doesnt like anything else on my car LOL. Rule number one if you own a lowered f-body dont get a steep incline driveway LOL. My magnaflow tips would always hit the ground going in and out

Re: I am pretty sure this can work
Like I said I didnt care for them at first but they grew on me. Now I wont change them at all and a few guys that have seen my car are thinking of doing the same. Up here cops are a pain in the *** and the less bling they see the better off you are.

Re: I am pretty sure this can work
Should fit but its gonna be loud. Unless you have cats. I have the Loudmouth 2 system on my 99 Trans Am with headers/cats/3" piping and its medium loud. Idles like stock but on the throttle it can be loud but sounds great. without cats, it gets pretty loud, way to loud for my taste. LM2 has better tone than the LM1 resonator
