I got a 86 Iroc Z28, with a 355ci making roughly 310hp (carb'd) and a 700r4. Want to put true duals with headers, any recommended kits? Looking at hooker 2460 headers, but have no idea what to do as far as the rest. Have no lift to custom make it, AIR system is gone. Any help?

Anyone tried headman 68460s? how do they fit?

 

ended up getting the summit 99.99 cheapos. I highly recommend painting them again with high temp paint, before installing. fitment isnt too bad. but **** is close.

 

For the record the Hedmans are a great header and a great value. You need to trim a non-important part of the a-arm perch off and dent one of the primaries around the steering box and thats about it.

 

i ran the hedman longtubes on both my 86 and 82 trans ams and never had to trim anything i konw some do but idk why i idnt have to. also installed a set of hedman shortys and their y pipe on a friends car and was impressed with them for the price.

 

yeah definetly going to repaint them this winter, all the **** it came with is just bout gone now.

 

That paint is just to prevent rust between manufacture and installation. It's not meant to stay on.

If you want to paint them, makes ure you use some high temp header paint.
