I know, I should have listened. I just had to have a set of Doug's LT's, x-pipe,3" all the way yada yada.... The only mufflers I could fit were glasspacks, too GD loud, and they side exit. So I submit. Thinking of doing a set of Dyno Don's and his y-pipe. Little backround, 383, AFR 195's, Performer RPM, Holley 750 DP, 1.6 Magnum RR, Comp XFI 280 ( was originally going HSR..to complicated for me
), 100 shot NOS. I know Don's y goes from 2.5-3, with his headers and y, what would you guys consider putting behind it to get the most possible flow? I don't think a single 3"/dual outlet system would be enough or would it? Maybe a single 3.5 or 4. What's your thoughts? Thanks

Just find a dual 2.5 to 3in or 3.5 Y-Pipe adapter. You'll be fine with Dyno Don's headers.

You might have a bit better ground clearance if you just dumped them. Why not just replace the glasspack with a good muffler? Seems buying an all new system would be a lot of extra work.
yeah, forget the x pipe and the 2 muffler nonsense, merge both into a single just after the trans and a single 3.5 or 4 out the back with a real muffler.

Get Don's Y pipes for dual cats into a 4" mufflex and you'll be golden.

Is there a y-pipe that can be bought that will work with the Doug's LT's into a 4" mufflex cat back from Hawks? Or am I looking for a shop to build me one? Does it help that I have a T-56 with an SPD crossmember? Anyone running the Mufflex single 4" with the Dual tips?Originally Posted by //<86TA>\\

your probably going to have to make one. Mufflex makes one for the hooker 2210's, which are very similar the dougs, but if they are the least bit different, it will not work. However, you could use it anyway and just mod it as needed to fit. ITs still not eh best for clearance since it goes under the crossmember, but its the best you can do without fabbing everything from nothing and making a custom crossmember with some humps in it for added clearanceOriginally Posted by remltr
