I just installed a flowmaster 3" system on my 92 Camaro RS, everything fit fine and it looks great and sounds great, only 1 small problem that needs fixing. The exhaust tips are a little bit offset on the back of my car, you might be able to tell from the picture, is there anything i can do to set them evenly from the sides of the car?

 

since you can't really move the whole works over to the passenger side thanks to the spare tire well, the best bet would be to take off the driver's side tailpipe and cut about an inch off between the muffler and the bend.

 

This is not a bad idea or of you have room see if you can pull the one tailpipe out some, but leave enough pipe in the muffler to clamp. It does not look bad in the pic.

 

I would do this, but on the left side tail pipe is where the hanger is for the pipe and the muffler, if i moved it, it won't hang properly. I'm thinking my best bet it to try and move the right pipe out a little bit more so they look even, this might mean buying an extension or something like that, I just have to hope the spare wheel well doesn't get in the way too much. Any other suggestions?

That's how it came, stock.

Because of the way the underside of the car is made, we're somewhat sutck with it.

It is only about an inch or so difference; all but imperceptible to anyone who doesn't already know about it. A bacterium on a gnat's a$$ in the grand scheme of things, with no functional consequences whatsoever. I'd suggest leaving it alone and moving on to things that DO matter.

Tips out the side, like factory 70's is fine, when you can just see the tips.

Tips out the side when the entire exhuast is hanging below the bumper just looks poorly installed.

 

the piping is all where the muffler would be and just the tips exit the sides nothing hanging below the bumper its just the camera angle.

 

I'd like to see a pic from a better angle.

Still don't care for the big tips like that, but if you like it its all good I suppose.

What I meant was those big straight tips at an angle. Where you see the whole side of the tip, but no worries, if you like it cool.

You got dual 3" pipes? Did you build the whole exhuast?

 

305 TPI to 350 TPI swap, Headman Headers into 3" stock routed to removable spun metal bullet cat then 3" back to the piping that replaces the muff and into tips. no muffler, not too loud until WOT. Im building a 4 bolt full forged 363 with single GT-45 turbo and a 700r4 manual VB on a 12 bolt. Wont do slicks, just a mean mean street car. And with a manual boost controller in the car I can launch on motor then crank the boost after second gear. Im as far as the block work and heads right now and dont expect to be done for another year or two. No hurry
