Sounds nice! Definitely an 80 series if that's a flowmaster. Sounds a bit different than mine did.

I'll be the first to say that I really don't like that. I like exhaust to have a nice tone, not just be obnoxiously loud.

Re: How does it sound? **Video**

Maybe if the car was warm and out of open loop it would sound better with the idle lower.
Sorry but that is a 80 series.

Re: How does it sound? **Video**

It is an 80 sorry for the misinformation. Thanks for all feedback. I dont make long trips with my car. Its a 383 with aluminum heads comp 503 cam. Makes 475hp to crank. Car was cold and is loud but I wanted that way. Really is quiet at cruise tho on roads.

I have the same muffler with a 3" system piped to headers with no cat on a 327. I don't have as much horsepower as you, but I love the sound it makes which sounds almost the same as your video. You must have a 4 speed transmission, because with a TH350, I'm cranking about 2,600 RPM at 55-60 and it's loud.

Ok that sounds sick! Im curious, so you are still on the computer? what mods did you have to do to maintain the tpi and computer to run on that 383? Im thinking of going this route but Im not sure if its tons of work to keep it on the computer, can you break it down a little please?

Re: How does it sound? **Video**

The reason that some of you are saying that your 80 series isn't as loud is because of what's in front of it. Things like removing the cats, Adding headers, cam... Will all make it much louder. Headers make things louder but smoother if that makes sense.

Re: How does it sound? **Video**

I have a 350 with a 480 comp , dyno Don headers and y pipe. I want it to be loud enough to hear the lope of the cam. Do you think that flow master 80 would do the trick for me? Or would it quiet it down to much? I like the sound of it now without any mufflers but that is just way to loud.

Re: How does it sound? **Video**

It’s "NOT" me or my car but it defiantly has the Flowmaster sound and this is without a cam. I think you will be able to hear yours . Flowmaster 80 series is one of the loudest mufflers out there for our cars. I have one and love it. I went with a 3in American Thunder Flowmaster cat back with 3in inlet and outlets 80 series muffler leading out with 3in.exit/tips.

Side note = I cut the tips back about 6in. to get them tucked in enough that you can’t cut your legs while working in the hatch. They are angel cut tips and are razor sharp. I like the looks of them better this way.

The car is still not dyno tune and finding a shop to tune it is HARD. I have a chip in it from Modern Muscle for a 350 with a cam intake and heads but not a 383. My car doesnt run at 100% at all. Prob around 60% its at.

I have a bad tune in it. The car runs poorly and cannot be raced still
