I have a flowmaster system, but I'll tell you what, a friend of mine has a borla exhaust on his 25th an. Trans Am and that thing sounds incredible. Now I know that the 25th has an LT1 so it might sound different than my L98, but if the exhaust sounds similar I might consider getting a borla.

For the price and systems I've heard, you can't beat the Hooker. The cat-back comes with like the 2nd highest rating of cfm flow rate. It's only $200 and can be welded on. I noticed a definite improvement power wise.

dynomax super turbo... 3" mandrel bend pipe only $154...the mufflers are pretty quiet so I would up to the hooker aero chamber if I had to do it again. have to make sure you order the full exhaust and ot jsut the cat back though

He said sound and PERFORMANCE... if you want both, stay away from Flowmaster.

Flows sound good and all but I hear so many of them here they are getting anoying now, if you want a unique sound, thats kidna quiet at idle but the second you open it up is louder than a flow go with a hooker. They even outflow the flowmaster. so your performance would be better,

On second thought, don't get the Hooker, I want to be a little unique, I have a feeling it won't take too long before a lot of people start getting Hooker than flows. I will buy a microphone soon and post sound clips.

Do that dude, I want to really hear your car because I've heard Flowmasters I pretty much know are never going to be beat. Every other sound clip of the Aerochamber I've heard I haven't liked, sometimes they weren't the best quality files either. U got any pictures of that nice car of yours from the front or other angles??

I'll have to wait till after X-Mas to buy a microphone, I tried the one I got now, but it's a piece of crap and has a horrible background noise.

LT1 did not come in the Camaros untill 93....92, including the 25th had L98, LB8, L03 etc etc.

I like my Edelbrock cat-back alot. Sounds very unique and I've heard they flow well. Flows are too common, there are hardly anybody running Edelbrock.

Mac has outflowed every muffler listed on this post so far. I'll see if I can explain how Mac sounds... how about the gowliness and poppiness of flows and the tone of Borla. If you like it so far go to Mac's website. My friend's stock TPI has a Mac cat-back, it makes that car sound so badass. In fact most people tell me his car is faster than mine just becouse of the exhaust....maybe they need to come to the track .

'87FAKE-IROC-Z, do you?
I dont want to go get a set-up that I feel sounds like sh*t, even if it flows well, you know...

My 84 Xfire has TPIS headers connected to a Random Tech Cat.
That flows into a DynoMax Y-pipe with a Xover into Flowmasters.
At idle, it sounds like a big block. Very low bass note. Shakes the house when its started in the garage. Cruise is definitely audible, but it is not intrusive. Very mellow but definitely an exhaust note.
Screams when you stomp on it though.
