Has anyone ever seen a set up like this. I know it's aftermarket. Do you recall who may have manufactured it. This is on my 84 Trans Am. It looks like it splits into two pipes over the axle. There is one common pipe between the two mufflers. I have never seen anything like this before.

Oh, really. I wasn't aware of that. The car has 26k on it. I'm wondering if i should take them off and save them.

 

I believe it was factory in 82-84 on the Trans Ams and Camaro Z28 with the CrossFire Engine.

when my 84 ta was stock it had that. i honestly liked how it sounded.

 

Yep my 82 Z28 CFI car had that setup and I loved the way it sounded.

 

I don't suppose there is anyone out there ( after market ) who makes those pieces.

 

Right: those exact mufflers aren't factory, but the configuration is.

No I haven't seen a replacement for the assembly. Wouldn't be too terribly hard to crib though, with the possible exception of the hangers. Not sure where they all go or what they look like.
