I recorded a sound clip today of the interior noise of the Hooker cat-back. It's slightly less than 1MB but geocities is taking for ever to upload it, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow when I get back to college and upload it then where I won't be using any of this slow internet connection crap.

 

Just here promoting the Hooker cat-back with you Mark. Made my day today when a brand new C5 corvette driver pulls up next to me and says, "Your car sounds good. It sounds REALLY REALLY good."

Sicne the engine swap, a lot of people think that it is a dual setup from the dual outlets and the nice tone. Anyone on the fence about the system, just go ahead and get it, you'll love it.

 

Ahhh, they're not working, give me some time.


This clip is with the windows up. It's not the best quality cause I had the microphone sitting on the laptop and it was rattling. Don't mind that ticking noise either, one day I'll get the exhaust leak fixed.

Your car sounds beefy, whats the engine specs again?

 

It's got 8.5 compression with stock LG4 intake on it. By late spring I'll have a new cam in it with my new intake.

Didn't like the 1st 1 much, and the 2nd isn't working.

 

Yeah it seems to be intermittent at working. The first one is mainly to let people hear what it sounds like cruising in the car, but I figured I'd go ahead and show it taking off as well.

 

I have a laptop so I just hooked a mic up to it and sat it in the driver's seat.

 

damn.... do you have any web space at school cuz geo****ties temporarily blocks access if a bandwidth limit is reached, so i download it... maybe somebody else could host it temporarily??

 

Actually, my college does give us room for web pages, I'll try it out.

 

I like the 2nd 1 ALOT better. I still like Flowmaster more, but this is definetly 1 of the better sounding exhausts available.

Can't I'm at college and I left the car at home. How I miss it, but I'd rather have my GF drive me around in her Blazer than have my car that doesn't even like the rain (we should be getting a lot of snow in the next couple of months) whenever the 60*weather decides to leave. I'll get some sound clips later this spring after the cam and intake swap.

Only thing bad about the hooker cat-back is the dual dual tips.
Oh well, I can always cut them off and slap on some 3" Crome Tips.

 

The tips are separate, I had them welded on. They look good though.

The I Pipe is 3". I got the $200 kit and had it welded on. What do you mean a baffled mess?

 

That second one does sound good. I don't know if I'm keeping mine or getting a new exhaust. I want some headers though for sure. I wish I could get some recordings of mine up here..
