Headers????

I've noticed most everyone on this site seems to recomend headers...I've read about a late 80s Formula 350 in a mag. that they put SLP 3/4" headers on and a full exaust and only saw about .1 sec improvement. I've already got dual high flow cats and a 3in catback exaust...For those of you with headers: What kind of improvement have you seen? What kind do you have (primary size too)? Are they really worth it??? By the way, it's for a '91 Z28 350/auto. TIA

Those hookers that I want will be worth it.

man if they only noticed a .1 improvement, that car wasn't running right and/or had a terrible driver in it. I'm not calling you a lyer,I belive that. but they should improve your car mroe than .1 sec.

they should give you more gain than that and i would go with 1 3/4" primaries

Any brand recommendations? I'd rather keep the AIR crap...I guess.

If you want 1 3/4" go with SLP or Arizona M&S, 1 5/8" Edelbrock TES. If you go with Edelbrock get them coated, they rust real quick, especially in the salt belt area up north.

Would 1 3/4" be better? I'd think they might hurt low end torque a little and help higher end hp. It's not like a TPI is hurting for torque in the first place, but which would you guys recommend for a 350: 1 3/4" or 1 5/8". Right now the engine's stock...and will probably remain so until I rebuild the whole thing (What's the point of heads and a cam type stuff on a 165K engine )

1 5/8" for stock.
