I took of my flowmaster and put on Ravin today!
Hey guys, ive had the 3" flowmaster exhaust for the past year, and today I took off the flowmaster and put on the 3" Ravin exhaust, and guess what? IT SOUNDS WAYYYYY BETTER!, I know flowmaster is good, I am not dissing it, but guys, this Ravin is more aggressive and gives you more of the muscle car sound to it, I just thought I would share that with you, ITS A SWEET SETUP!

I do not have any sound files quite yet. I have used flowmasters for years, all my cousins uses them on the cars and trucks, and mine was on my camaro for a year, I just had to be different, so I put on the Ravin, not knowing what to expect, and seriously, It is more aggressive and deeper than the flowmaster, I am VERY satisified with it, This is the meanest sound ive heard, my cousins and neighbors say its awesome too, way better than the flowmaster.. I will get some sounds somehow

Wow, someone else on the boards actually has the Ravin' system! Cool, I'm glad you like it. Any pics of your tips? I wanna raise mine up a little more and maybe make em so they don't stick out as far. But I love the sound.

I heard it a while back and didn't like it much. Haveta see how your car sounds. Still never heard anything better than Flowmaster on a modded V8.
Anyone else having trouble with ravin's website? www.goravin.com I wanted to see if they had sound clips. My friend is looking for a good sounding exhaust for his 97 Grand Prix. I might suggest Ravin if it sounds good. SLP is too raspy and too expensive.

Well I went to the site and listened to the files and they are all horrible. Mine doesn't sound a bit like any of those.
Hey guys, I WENT and listened to the sounds too, they sound like crapola! Take it from me, Ive got a alot of power out of my motor, 3" exhaust, headers, etc, and I took off the flowmaster to go with ravin, because it impressed me that much, it was a VERY noticable difference. Very impressed, and like I said before, flowmasters are really nice, but the raven is by far louder and more aggressive sounding, its hard to tell you when the sound clips sucked so bad, know what I mean? But Im not here to start a war, I just wanted to tell you guys my two cents on the mufflers. I also noticed that raven is alot more aggressive at lower rpm's too, I am just greatly impressed by it.. thanks guys!

They are right. It will sound different/better on their cars.
Dude, your not getting the point. I just wanted to let people know that ravin sounds 90% equal to flowmaster, except I like the tone to it a little better. You think im here to convince you to switch your mufflers over? heck no! Im here to give people an idea of whats out there before they buy a new exhaust, open there eyes, there is more than just flowmaster out there in this world. dont get me wrong, AGAIN... FLOWMASTERS ARE VERY NICE, I have had them for years, They are a great muffler, by far the most popular. But something about the Ravin makes me smile when I hear it. Impossible to explain on a computer, but its a good tone. I just thought I would open your eyes a little bit, or give some suggestions to a muffler if you go with a new one, thats all im trying to do, people are taking it alot further than it is!, serious!
oh yeah, couple things I missed... It does sound better on my car than the flowmaster did, why would I lie? if I thought it was crap, I would of taken it off. so yes, your exactly right, IN MY OPINION it does sound better, quit thinking im here to change your opinions, thats the last thing im trying to do. About the web page, do you really think you can get a feel of how ravins sound off of a .wav file? I mean you can record flowmasters/borlas/ravins all day, and it will not come out near to what it should on a computer. , You cannot expect the ravin web page to product a rock solid quality bone shattering sound! thats foolish to ask. HAS anyone here listened to a ravin except me and MetalliCamaroRS? I dont want to start a flippin war here, so I will leave it at that, just thought I was doing a good thing by explaining that I do enjoy the ravin exhaust , and that im sure other people will too, is that a bad thing?

I learned with their website that you gotta close the window then just click on go on your browser. It goes to the cool little intro of the car passing by at full throttle, sounds kick A**.
Nate what series of the Ravin muffler do you have? They have 3 different kinds. The Z-33, Z-55 or the Z-77(I know its a SUV muffler, so this is not what you have). I know a girl that has a Ravin on her 2000 SS and I never have heard it but I heard that it sounds the same as her SLP exhaust not too loud. I want the Z-33, cause it is said to be their most aggresive sounding muffler that they make. I have been looking into getting one for about a year now but I had other things to buy instead, so what one is it?

The site still won't work for me. It keeps refreshing itself, so all I see is a black screen and hear click click click click click...
How much does it cost from Midas? Does Ravin have exhaust for a 97 Grand Prix?
