lift off hood question

i was wondering if its possible to get a lift off hood and attach the hinges to it without it looking horrible and or cracking and ruining the hood? i really want a cowl.. but its rather customize a lift off for 200 buck rather than spend 400 .... thanx

Just spent the extra money if you want to use the hinges.

i'd go as far as say there's no way to mount the lift off to the hinges and make it look half way good. i have a harwood and it's pretty light flimsy piece.

The lift-off hoods aren't designed to support their own weight. Use one made for hinges if you want hinges.
