T-56 swap crossmember complete

I've been working on swapping in a T-56 for the past couple of days and finished the cross-member last night. I made it out of 1x2 rect. tubing and 1/4" thick plate. I don't have any pics right now but will get some tonight.

sorry about taking so long, I've been more concerned with getting the car running again than posting photos. I'll have them up tonight.

I look foreward to seeing your pics.
I built one when I put my t 56 in last spring. I am thinking of building another one with clearance for long tubes. What does your's look like?

1x2 rect tubing. the sides are some scrap 1/4" thick channel that had already been cutdown to the perfect size I needed.

I used a 1" drill bit to drill the hole for the trans mount stud, then used a die grinder with a carbide bit to enlarge it when I mismeasured the cut points and had to shift it over

That looks alot like mine. THe only differance is I used a pc of L channel with a flat plate on it for the tranny mount.
It looks real good.

It looks identicle to the Skulte x-member.

What you should do is buy my coated longtubes with custom 3 in. mandrel Y-pipe and my T-56 double hump x-member. It would be a direct bolt-on for ya.
