no in the pics i see on here of ppls cai i never see a line or anything going back to the pcv valve do I just plug it off?
Re: want to make cai but have questions
The PVC valve is in the top of your valve covers and usually has a hose going back to the manifold or somewhere else in the vacuum system.
I'll bet he's talking about the IAT or IAC sensor whatever the hell it's called that reads the incoming air on a MAP or MPFI v6 design on the 90 and up F-Bodies.
You should make provisions for this in your CAI design. It needs to be plugged into the airflow somewhere.

Re: want to make cai but have questions
no he's not..the little tube on the left side of the throttle body..multi port 2.8 v6 .connect to the air and to the pass side valve cover black metal tube..if you are keeping all that on there just cut a hole in the pipe and connect with a rubber fitting..i pulled all my a.i.r. stuff off and reran my vac lines.... wouldn't do it if you don't know how...

Here is the stock pcv. Nowhere near the intake.

Here is the tube you're worried about.

Note the stock intake tube already flows towards the passenger side fenderwell where a CAI would be applied.

How does the throttle body become in the way of a CAI? All MPFI's had that tube. It's nowhere near in the way of a cold air intake. Hell, the later 3.1L's had an induction setup from the factory that was VERY similar to a cold air intake. All you'd have to do is make a new filter housing and go to a different filter.

you don't have the a.i.r on yours ether..its the tube that runs from pass side valve cover to the a.i.r.. then to the flex tube on the throttle body..it would fit between you alt and intake ..right above the idler pulley ..my 2.8 had it till i took it off

Re: want to make cai but have questions
when i did my cai there was a hose on the passenger side. but the pcv valve is on the drivers side. the hose on the pass. side you just connect to the cai. (the kit i used had a adapter to stick it on) also you have to relocate the air temp charge sensor. thats pretty easy tho. i just drilled into the tubing and bam, done. so no, you dont have to touch the pcv at all
