Subframe connector question

Is it difficult to fab subframe connectors for an 84 Z28. If anyone has done this what are the measurements?

If you're not sure what to do you're better off buying a set of sfc's and putting them in.

Re: Subframe connector question

Pretty simple really, to save me some headache na a few $ I mocked mine up first. I started by using 2x4's that i ran through the table saw to get to the correct size square tubing I was using 1.5 x 2 in my case. Mine do not follow the floor, but actually intersect it, so no real bends. I them made my end peices to wrap around the front LCA mounting point. Took a few measurements and made my pieces to tie into the front frame rails.

Re: Subframe connector question

a whole lot quicker and easier to pop for $200 or so and get a set of the Alston sfc's from Lon at Top Down Solutions - they fit, they go on easily, and require only a very minor fuel/brake line bracket bend to clear everything. powdercoated.

Re: Subframe connector question

I have a set that I believe someone fabbed, I'll look for them tomorrow and get pictures and measurements (unless they are buried under 2 feet of snow). I think a local guy made them but I could be wrong.
