S&W roll bar kit questions

I recently purchased an S&W roll bar kit for my '89 IROC.I got the swing out side bar option as well as the option to clear the factory arm rests.I received 9 bars(when you only need 7 for an 8pt.) plus the main hoop.Just not sure which bars are supposed to be for what. The seat crossmember, the 2 short lateral supports & the 2 straight rear bars are obvious (the 5 bars on the left of the pic). It's the 4 bars on the right of the pic which I'm not totally clear on.The 2 on the far right are offset notched at the one end & are obviously side bars but they are straight (except for the small bend at the one end) The 2 other bars next to them have the 2 slight bends in them & they seem to follow the roof line fairly well if you put them off the main hoop to use as rear bars, but they go all the way to the tail lights.I was thinking of cutting them off at the back & get them bent to go down to the flat part of the floor above the diff. They also clear the rear seats which the 2 shorter straight ones don't.I've had both of them in & out in all positions to try & figure out whats what.I thought the side bars would have a small "dog leg" in them around the middle to clear the arm rests.I've phoned S&W tech support a bunch of times but only get voice mail & no one returns my call.I've also browsed numerous threads & pics on here to try & figure it out with not alot of luck.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

P.S. I've read many threads of the pros & cons of a bar in a street car and it doesn't matter,it's getting one now as it only gets a few hundred miles a year on it...plus I'm tired of getting kicked off the track!

I agree with Alky..and my experiences with S & W have been great, should be able to have them send you a diagram to help you get started

Re: S&W roll bar kit questions

The instructions/diagram that came with the kit is pretty generic.I paid extra for the side bars to clear the factory arm rests, that's the main ones I'm not sure about.I will phone them again & try to talk to a "live" person! If anybody has pics of an S&W kit installed, that would be great.

Re: S&W roll bar kit questions

TTOP350, thanks for the pics.Do you have any other ones of the rear bars? The one at the top is kinda small. It almost looks like you used those 2 bars that have the 2 slight bends in them(see my pic,the second 2 in from the right) for your rear bars.Looks like they hug the roof pretty well, that's why I want to use them for that. Also for your side bars, are they straight? It looks like they might have a slight bend in them to clear the arm rests? Which mine do not. Thanks

Edit: I found one thats big...
The rear bars come down above the rear springs. Had to box in the pass side lower mount for structure reasons.
Side bars have a slight bend in the middle and at the floor. I really want to change the side door bars and the brace that runs behind the front seats...
